Green Sea Turtles, or Honu as they are called in Hawaiian, are some of the most beloved sea creatures in the islands. Peaceful, silent and graceful they grow 3 to 4 feet long and weigh 300-450 lbs. They are unique among sea turtles for being strictly herbivorous, feeding on sea grass and algae.
