#36 LAUPAHOEHOE POINT

Laupahoehoe Point on the windward side of the Big Island is a place of historic tragedy and incredible beauty. Not your stereotypical calm lagoon and white sand beach, this area is wild and rugged. From the steep cliffs of the rocky volcanic shoreline the water drops quickly into the deep. When the waves hit the rocks the water turns the most amazing color. This is one of my favorite places on the Big Island, just down the road from my house. - $11,500.
