Cattle Egrets, those brilliantly white, statuesque looking birds with a rather humble name, are an everyday sight in Hawaii. They can be found in wetlands, fields, urban areas and by the sea. Here a pair posed for me in the golden early evening light. I loved the way the strong sunset light shone through their beaks and delicately back lit their feathers. $4400
