The Pools of Ohe’o (also wrongly known as the Seven Sacred Pools) are located in the Haleakala National Park in east Maui. The Ohe’o Gulch, cut deep over the centuries into the jungle cliffs, is a spectacular verdant valley of waterfalls and idyllic rainforest pools eventually spilling into the Pacific. The sound of the falling water and the smell of wild ginger are intoxicating. Words can’t do justice to the beauty of this unique place.
